Aduro Clean Technologies Just Made a Game Changing Hire

Transcript

**0:00** · Santa, do you know what I'd like for Christmas? Just one time, I would like to see the stock price of Aduro to react positively to positive news.**0:09** · That's it. That's all I want for Christmas.**0:14** · Can you make it happen with today's news? Big executive from a major oil company, Scott Smith, joined the company. Please make the stock react.**0:21** · This news is huge.**0:22** · But it is not Christmas yet. Get a life.**0:33** · Aduro just dropped a press release. The company appointed Scott Smith to lead their petroleum applications. Who is this guy? He's a 25-year industry veteran. He spent 17 years at Senovvis Energy, one of the biggest energy companies in Canada. most recently as a senior manager of operations innovation where he led an enterprisewide innovation portfolio across upstream and downstream operations. He's also a name inventor on multiple patents. He's currently vice president of the Canadian crude quality technical association.**1:18** · He's a registered professional engineer in Alberta. This is not a junior person. This is someone with a serious career.**1:26** · Now, here's the thing. Think about the incentive structure. If you are sitting comfortably at a giant company like Senovas leading their innovation portfolio, you have a stable career. You have an established team. You don't leave to join a small cap clean tech company unless you've looked at their technology yourself and concluded that it is the real deal. And the timing is what really tells the story. The hire comes right after Aduro disclosed recent validation of hydrochamalytic technology on paraffhinic crude. So this guy has looked at the data, looked at the platform and said yes this is worth my next chapter in my life. Now I want you to actually look at the language in the press release. He's coming into define process configurations for paraffhinic crude oil and bumenumen upgrading. He's going to execute pilot campaigns. He's going to engage with producers, refiners, and mid-stream operators. So, this is not a research and development role. This is a commercialization role.**2:43** · The PR isn't saying we're going to do more research. It is saying we are going to talk to industry, run pilots and get this thing scaled. So what does this mean for us? Well, we've talked about the plastic side a lot. We know the potential there. The shell game changer graduation, the total energies collaboration, the folk plant targeted for a Camelot, the plastic story is the most advanced. But here's what people aren't tracking. All three analyst price targets out there. D Borl at 46, HA Waynewright at 22, Leadenburgg at 19, they only model the plastic vertical.**3:28** · The petroleum side is completely unmodled. Zero. So if Scott comes in runs successful pilot campaigns and Aduro starts getting commercial traction on bumenumen or paraffhinic oil that's pure upside that isn't in any analyst model today and the technology economics really matter here. Scott himself says in the PR HCT operates at lower temperatures while preserving product characteristics. Lower temperature is the cost driver in the entire space.**4:06** · That's the margin story. That's why this isn't just another upgrading process.**4:12** · Now, is this one person going to commercialize the oil platform on its own? Of course not. The pilot data still has to come. The demo plant still has to get built. Folk isn't targeted for commissioning until mid to end 2027. So there is real execution risk between here and there. So I'm not telling you that this is a sure thing and there's no risk out there. What I'm telling you is this. A serious person from one of the biggest energy companies in Canada just looked at this technology and decided it is worth his career. That's a data point. But not only that, it's not just a data point, but combined with the Shell graduation, with the total energy collaboration and recent paraffhinic validation and patent filings, the picture just keeps getting clearer and clearer. When most people only look 3 in in front of their faces, they see a press release about a new employee. But when they look at the chessboard, they see something different. They see a company that just brought in someone whose entire career has been spent doing exactly the same thing that Aduro is trying to do at scale. And they see that this is happening at a moment when the petroleum vertical isn't priced in into a single analyst target. The market hasn't connected these dots yet.**5:54** · Eventually, it will. Hey, maybe Christmas will come early. But I want Christmas now. I don't want to wait. Make my wish come true.
