Just a heads-up.
The docs I shared in the tweet above were actually created by @mogulinfluence.
I mistakenly assumed they were made by the original author.
They’re an agency doing ace work, totally my bad for not crediting them right away!

When are we going to grow up and STOP using the term "AI Employee" it re-enforces the wrong narrative about AI and is also "Click bait" Tactic !!!
I mean, as a society have changed the meaning of "employee"
Somewhere in Bali @somewhereinbali 2026-04-20
Why does every AI generated reply on X have to include the word literally?

guide turns Claude into a persistent ai employee via obsidian vault (notes, clients, tasks) + auto-transcripts (Fathom/Zapier). MCP integrations for Slack/calendar = proactive summaries & compounding knowledge

Also add Ontology like Palantir. And create multiple experts on top of it. CEO, CTO, CFO, Chief Council, Chief of Staff.

The interesting part is not Claude plus Obsidian, it is giving the system enough structure to stay useful after week one. Notes, memory, and clear workflows are what make the AI employee idea hold up once the novelty wears off.

obsidian as the knowledge layer makes a lot of sense. local first, markdown native, and the graph view actually helps with context retrieval when you scale past 1000 notes
Sean Kerr @kerrsee 2026-04-20
The "AI employee" framing is doing a lot of work here. What you're actually building is a context-aware agent that knows *your* notes. Useful? Yes. Employee? Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

I am using nanoclaw + obsidian on VPS to do a research and initial planing, then separate Claude code works with prepared specs.

I built a similar system 18 months ago. The Obsidian vault as persistent memory layer is underrated. Most focus on MCP connectors, few on data ownership.
LucasH Sketch @dibujoslucas 2026-04-20
yeah this tracks. i do similar with my art workflow. AI without memory is useless for real work.
Sureme @Suremeqd 2026-04-20
What do people use Obsidian for? It’s not the best note taking app?

i love this combo Claude + Obsidian
